Welcome to the first Houses of Prayer newsletter. We are excited and thankful that we’re able to
share with you what God is doing in the UK and in many other nations around the world through
his praying church, being represented through many prayer groups, houses of prayer and prayer
centers whose call it is to cry out for revival and to prepare the body of Christ for the return of
King Jesus. We would be happy if you got in touch with us and shared your thoughts on what you
are reading (our email address is at the bottom of this page along with our website). Please send
us the story of your prayer group or house of prayer and let us know how God is using you so we
can share it with many others. If you haven’t done so already, please visit our website and see
how many “fires on the altar” of prayer are already burning on the earth.
“2011 – The year of the roaring lion”
After many people had pictures, dreams, visions and impressions of the
“lion roaring over the UK” over the last months, a prophecy by Bob Jones
from late 2010 stated that the new year is the “year of the roaring lion”
which we are taking as a personal encouragement from the Lord for the
UK. Bob said: “When the lion roars, he is not roaring into the air, he is
roaring into the earth. He says ‘This is my territory’. And the vibrations will
go out for miles and miles … We are coming to the year of the lion, (which
means) we are coming into authority.” (You can find the Bob Jones clip on
youtube.com). Looking at revival history in many nations and different times, we have
clearly learned that genuine revival is birthed through prayer. As houses of
prayer, prayer groups and new prayer ministries are being built all over the
UK (and in the whole world at the same time), we are very expectant and
convinced that God will respond to the prayer of His saints. Let’s press in
and not be discouraged by anything.
Introducing “House of Prayer
Egypt” (Kairo)
When the recent crisis in Egypt started to
unfold, the Lord seemed to point out Isaiah 19
from the bible to several different Christians in
different places around the world which refers
to Egypt and sounded a lot like the events that
were occuring. We were especially taken by
verse 19, which says “In that day there will be
an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and
a monument to the LORD at its border.” Out of
that came our search on the internet for a
possible “altar of the Lord” in Egypt, being
aware that an “altar” can point to a place of
worship and prayer. And we were successful: Within in a short time, we found the “House of Prayer Egypt”,
located in the capital Kairo (the “heart” of the nation). Upon contacting them we soon received a reply from
Mariam Shady, who is the web admin there. She told us that they would mainly like us to pray for “unity of the
church in Egypt and heavenly wisdom for the people who are changing the constitution”. They cry is: “We
need Your glory to fill our Nation. We want the Egyptians to know you. We want the Knowledge of
Jesus filling evey home!” I encourage you to keep praying for our brothers and sisters in Egypt and the
whole troubled region of the Middle East. Apart from their weekly prayer meetings (every Wednesday from 7-
9pm) the House of Prayer Egypt is also running “48 hours of Worship” every 3 months.

“Now=the time” Conference in the Netherlands “Now=the time” was a gathering that took place at “de Betteld” in the Netherlands, the location of the “European House of Prayer”. Intercessors from across Europe heard the call and traveled to meet. From the moment it began God's presence came. At one point the official conference photographer complained that he could not take pictures as there was too much dust in the room (of course it was not dust but the mist of God’s glory). As we worshipped and prayed over Israel and the nations God came amongst us, brought dramatic healing and deliverance from personal and national demons. We spent three days together; there was worship, sometimes led by the youth who were with us, who carried us into God’s presence. There was intercession as people cried out for their own and also other nations. Prophecy was spoken; angels ascending and descending down a ladder were seen at least three times. These angels were wearing very heavy amour and delivered scrolls to individuals for their nations. Conclusions: Those who were there will never be the same again, we are changed by His presence. The youth that led our Sunday morning worship were handed the baton to run, they will be forever changed. Again and again came the phrase “Now is the time”. The time for intercessors, despite the disappointments of the past, is now to be raised. The watchmen on the walls are blowing the shofars to warn the body of Christ. Amos 3, 7-8 says: ”Adonai, God, does nothing without revealing his plans to his servants the prophets. THE LION HAS ROARED. Who will not fear? Adonai, God, has spoken. Who will not prophesy?” Introducing “North Devon House of Prayer”
In the coastal town of Barnstaple, situated on the North Devon coast, is
hidden a gem. A house of prayer that God himself is building. He, in the
words of the Leaders, ambushed a couple to build a house of prayer in a
foreign Nation. From a house of prayer in Israel to a small coastal town on
the North Devon coast. The current leaders and a core team that has been
built up around them have been developing prayer for the Nation of Israel
and all nations as well as Barnstaple and North Devon. They had been using
a nearby church hall but that has now changed. At the present time they
have moved into their own prayer room and God is equipping them for the
coming days. The prayer room has a serene presence of God and is being
readied for the churches of Barnstaple to use during their outreach at
Pentecost. Please pray for them they seek to bring unity to the churches of
Barnstaple and for them to share in the blessing of prayer and intercession.

Posted by: Site Administrator - 05/01/11 @ 2:45PM We begin a new year with great expectation, as Paul wrote about knowing the times we are in, so we are aware of the times we are blessed to be in. Prophecies have been abundant over the last years about houses of prayer and we are in these times blessed by our God, prayed for over the decades and centuries by dedicated intercessors, who did not live to see this day, the day of the Lion of Judah. His roar is being heard across the globe, Christians being raised to pray in his Kingdom, to see the days of miracles and signs and wonders, a body of believing Christians standing, sometimes despite severe persecution, to give this world hope. We pray you will be blessed that you will see this year more signs and wonders of his kingdom coming.
